esignment habeas corpus

I dont believe that habeas corpus should ever be suspended under any circumstances. Although Lincoln was in a situation where Confederate POW's would have to be processed through the courts because they were all considered American citizens, habeas corpus is an undeniable right and should never be suspended. By suspending this right, Lincoln opened up a slippery slope where at first its just to make life easier for him in a time of war, but could turn into him imprisoning people who spoke out against him, or imprisoning people for using their rights reserved by the constitution.
